Largely volunteer-run, distributes food, toiletries and household goods to 30 food banks across north London and Herts. Volunteer info.
4: Goodgym Barnet
A group of local residents who run, walk, or cycle to help out community projects and older people in Barnet.
5: Stephen’s House & Gardens, N3
Like gardening? Hack & Bash at Stephens House & Gardens is every Tuesday morning 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Help cut back vegetation in the gardens, then share a free coffee in Inky’s Café. Tons of other volunteering options or email to sign up.
6: Finchley Food Bank, N3
Want to support our local Food Bank? The deadline to apply as a trustee is Sunday 24th March, you’ve got the weekend to apply.
7: Tiny Forest, N2
Mutton Brook Tiny Forest volunteers look after this patch of 600 native trees. Work includes litter picking and citizen science (butterfly counting, tree measuring etc). Very child friendly! More on the WhatsApp group.

Great hyper-local volunteer roles with East Finchley Festival, The Archer etc
9: Age UK Barnet
Volunteers support Age UK Barnet to help make Barnet an Age Friendly place. Shopping, walking buddies, digital inclusion, befriending and activity volunteers all needed.

Re-engage provides vital, social connections for older people when their social circles are diminishing. Volunteer to host a tea party.
11: HomeStart Barnet
HomeStart Barnet offers emotional and practical support to families in Barnet, Brent and Harrow. Because childhood can’t wait. There are a number of ways to volunteer, from working directly with families to helping with projects remotely.
12: Barnet Mencap
Barnet Mencap helps children and adults with learning disabilities and autistic people in the borough. Activities, fundraising and other volunteer roles available.
